In my last email, I shared 5 emotions that create my best action. Today I’m sharing 5 thoughts that create my best emotions.
Let’s face it. We all want to feel good. Lots of times when I ask my clients what they want most. They simply want to feel happier more often. While this is a topic of its own, knowing you have the ability to create greater happiness, peace, love, ease from your thoughts, and then create new actions in your life is literally life-changing.
Just this morning I was talking with an empty nest midlife mom. She was telling me she was feeling lost and that she couldn’t stop her heart from aching. When I asked her why she shared that her daughter moved in with her dad.
What she missed seeing was that her daughter moving in with her dad was a circumstance. Feeling lost, and hurt was optional. These emotions were coming from her thoughts about her moving not the fact that she moved in with her dad.
There’s nothing wrong with feeling any emotion, but every emotion will create a different action that we take and impact the results we get.
If we want better results deciding what to think and feels is where to being.
As promised here are 5 thoughts that create 5 emotions that always move me forward.
If I want to feel committed I think thoughts like:
This is important to my ________ (body, health, business, clients, relationship).
Giving up is not an option.
I’m committed to me and the results I want.
If I want to feel curiosity I think thoughts like:
I wonder why I’m choosing to think or believe that
It’s interesting how/why I _____ (judged them, judged me, made that excuse, didn’t stay committed, reacted)
If I want to feel ease I think thoughts like:
How can I make this easy?
I can am I making this hard?
This can be easy.
If I wan to feel love I can think thoughts like
I can choose love.
There’s so many things I love about ____ (then I start finding them).
I just love ______.
If I want to choose empowerment I can think thoughts like
I can figure this out.
I can do hard things, I’ve done them before.
It’s totally possible to…
Feel free to borrow these thoughts. Try them on and see what emotions they create for you.
Close your eyes think the thought and just notice how you feel. You can also do it the other way.
Close your eyes feel the emotion and notice the thoughts you are having that create it.
These are the thoughts that create my 5 best emotions.
Your’s might be totally different. It’s up to you to find them. Choose to take the time to do this for yourself.
Practice them every day and you’ll notice shifts in your results, your actions, and that you are feeling more of what you want to feel and less of what you don’t.
